A new trailer, DVD box Art, a plot synopsis and more details has been released for the upcoming Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders, IGN reports. The previously announced DVD project will reunite Adam West and Burt Ward in an animated feature harkening back the the 1960's Batman TV series. You can see the new trailer below:
The trailer shows the Riddler, the Penguin, The Joker and Catwoman teaming up for a fiendish plot. It promises Julie Newmar will also return to voice-act and gives a look at Comissioner Gordon. Much like the original show, we see the "BAM" and "POW" sound effects when Batman and Robin fight.
The official plot synopsis reads:
"It's back to the 1960s as Batman and Robin spring into action when Gotham City is threatened by a quartet of Batman's most fiendish foes – Penguin, The Joker, Riddler and Catwoman. This time, the four Super-Villains have combined their wicked talents to hatch a plot so nefarious that the Dynamic Duo will need to go to outer space (and back) to foil their arch enemies and restore order in Gotham City. It's a truly fantastic adventure that will pit good against evil, good against good, evil against evil … and feature two words that exponentially raise the stakes for both sides: Replicator Ray. Holy Multiplication Tables!"

Rick Morales, who is known for his work on LEGO DC Superheroes, will be directing, while Teen Titans Go's Micheal Jelenic and Justice League vs. Teen Titans' James Tucker are on script duties.
The adventure will be available on Digital HD on October 11, 2016 and you'll be able to download and stream it through Amazon, iTunes, PlayStation, Xbox and many other platforms. The Blu-Ray combo pack ($24.98) and the DVD pack (19.98) will be released November 1st.
