Neil Gaiman Addresses How Lucifer Could Affect Netflix Sandman Series

Fans are understandably excited about the upcoming live-action Sandman series that will air on Netflix. However, some are also wondering if the new show will be affected by what has already happened in Lucifer. Luckily, Neil Gaiman has addressed the possibility that the Tom Ellis show will change what happens in The Sandman.

For the uninitiated, the Lucifer comic book series (and its live-action adaptation) actually started from the Sandman issue collection Season of Mists where Lucifer abdicated as the ruler of Hell and handed the keys to the Hell's Gates to Morpheus so he could retire to Earth.

So will this be something that will be adapted in Netflix's The Sandman series? A fan reached out to Gaiman on Twitter and got an interesting response. Check it out below.

Interestingly, the author did not confirm whether the new show will actually feature Ellis as Lucifer. In addition to that, Gaiman didn't exactly point out whether Season of Mists will be adapted by the series. Nevertheless, fans are still hoping that there will be a Sandman/Lucifer crossover to look forward to in the future.

The Sandman series has been so secretive to the point that the show began production without announcing any of its cast members. However, there is a possibility that everything will be revealed once the first teaser for the highly anticipated adaptation is finally released.
