Neil Gaiman Teases on Constantine Joining Netflix's Sandman Series

We already know that Netflix's The Sandman series has already started production without even announcing its cast. But is it possible that we'll be seeing a familiar face in the highly anticipated show? Neil Gaiman may have confirmed that John Constantine will be showing up in the live-action adaptation of his graphic novel.

A fan recently reached out to Gaiman on Twitter asking if there will be any DC characters that could appear in the Sandman series.

"How do DC character rights work for the series? Are you allowed Constantine for example, since he's currently on-air in another DC series?" the tweet read.

It's no surprise that the tweet singled out Constantine considering that the character is closely connected to The Sandman. Interestingly, Gaiman's response offered hope on the possibility of the Hellblazer showing up in the show.

"Wait and see," Gaiman wrote cryptically.

Of course, this doesn't confirm that Constantine will be in The Sandman. On the other hand, it shouldn't be a huge surprise considering that Matt Ryan has already played the character in several different shows including the ill-fated Constantine series. For now, we are keeping our fingers crossed that an update will confirm Ryan's cameo.

The Sandman series has not yet been given an official release date. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
