As part of the series' anniversary celebration, studio Pierrot released a special Naruto anime remake video that celebrates the series’ 20th anniversary. The show began airing on October 3, 2002, making today its official 20th anniversary.

The video was uploaded on the official studio Pierrot YouTube channel, and it’s a 9-minute animated video featuring some of the most iconic scenes from Naruto, from its beginning to the climactic Fourth Shinobi World War.

Instead of being a simple cut of these scenes, Pierrot re-animated pretty much every scene in the video, making it a treat for long-time series fans.

Check it out here:

The video is entitled “ROAD OF NARUTO” and it is like a greatest hits compilation of the iconic anime series.

It features practically all of the show’s most memorable moments, including Team 7’s fight against Haku and Zabuza, as well as the iconic Chunin Exams.

Aside from the pre-timeskip parts, the video also shows a lot of moments from Shippuden, including the Kazekage Rescue Mission, Pain’s Assault, and the Fourth Shinobi World War.

The video also features six of the most iconic Naruto opening songs. These include:

  • Far Away (Haruka Kanata) – Asian Kung-Fu Generation
  • GO!!! – FLOW
  • Rhapsody of Youth (Seishun Kyōsōkyoku) – Sambomaster
  • Blue Bird – Ikimono-Gakari
  • Sign - FLOW
  • Silhouette – KANA-BOON
