Following the release of the first episode last week, My Hero Academia is hyping fans up with Season 6 Episode 2 previews that show off Pro Hero Mirko in action.
Specifically, new screenshots from the upcoming episode were shared online via the show’s official Twitter account and website. These images include both the heroes and villains as they spring into action.
Though the highlights here are the ones featuring Rumi Usagiyama aka Mirko, the No. 5 Pro Hero.
As a fan-favorite character, many are excited to see her in action in Episode 2.
Manga readers who have caught up with the series should be familiar with the events in Episode 2.
If you aren’t (and without going into spoiler territory), this upcoming episode will see Mirko show off her abilities against powerful villains.
My Hero Academia is an anime series by Bones that’s based on the manga of the same name by Kohei Horikoshi.
The ongoing manga began serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump back in July 2014.
Since its release, the manga has become one of the biggest Shonen Jump titles as it has over 65 million copies in circulation as of January 2022.
The anime is also popular enough to continuously get new seasons nearly every year since the premiere of its first season back in 2016.
The latest season is one that many fans of the manga are looking forward to as it adapts the Paranormal Liberation War Arc.
In this arc, the Pro Heroes and the Paranormal Liberation Front led by Tomura Shigaraki’s League of Villains engage in an all-out war.
This arc directly follows the events that the fifth season has been building up to.
In the previous seasons, fans already got to see Mirko in the anime, but she didn’t play much of a role then.
Now though, Mirko will finally be able to show off her skills, which means anime-only fans will finally get what the hype with her is all about.
While she is set to take the center stage in Episode 2, the heroes-in-training of Class 1-A will also get their chance to shine as the season progresses. Even the villains will also get a chance to shine in this massive arc.
My Hero Academia Season 6 Episode 2 will be released this weekend.
