I've said before that I'm not too fond of watching each one of these match-ups play out before our eyes, and this week's episode didn't really do much to change my mind. In the second match-up, we have a team led by Yaoyorozu who is still struggling with her own feelings of usefulness against the other team led by Kendo. The match is contested hard, with just about everyone breaking out their biggest and baddest new moves in order to gain even the slightest advantage over the other team. In the end, Class B is the victor, though they had to resort to some questionable tactics to get the win, which makes Kendo remark that the victory felt unearned.

Produced by studio Bones, Kenji Nagasaki directs this season, which is covering the events from the 21st volume of the original manga.

My Hero Academia Season 5 airs at 5:30 pm Japan Standard Time, and then appears a short time after that on both Crunchyroll and Funimation at the following times around the world.

Pacific Time: 2:30 am
Central Time: 4:30 am
Eastern Time: 5:30 am
British Time: 10:30 am

As I've stated multiple times, I'm really kind of hoping for some kind of big twist in the story that brings these class vs class match-ups to a premature end. It doesn't have to be something big, just something that takes the classes away from the training and back to something else. Really, anything else would be fine at this point.

Regardless of how I feel about what's happening in this season so far, this series continues to be a popular shonen adventure series. The manga is still going strong though I hear rumblings that it's racing towards its conclusion so that will be exciting to see eventually animated.
