The latest chapter begins with the events prior to the arrival of Deku on the battlefield against AFO Shigaraki.
High above in the sky, Deku notices shadows that suddenly appear on the horizon.
He recognizes that it was the jets who told him to hop on, for his school bus was there to pick him up.
By using his Black Whip, Deku latches onto the jets and thanks them for their kind help.
The leader of the pilots remarks that they were supposed to defend the aerial space around UA, yet they came to help Deku.
He also mentioned that they were ordered to retreat, but they stayed put in Japan to gamble everything on Deku.
Before they parted ways, the pilot promised Deku that they would pave the way for him to finally defeat the greatest villain of all time.
At that exact moment, Deku launches an attack against AFO Shigaraki with a massive SMASH kick, allowing Lemillion to painfully smile.
AFO Shigaraki realizes Deku has grown stronger after feeling the impact of his kick.
With the energy that surrounds Deku, AFO Shigaraki remarks that it resembles that of the third One for All user, as Shigaraki was sent flying against the barrier.
Unfortunately, when Deku turned around to apologize to the other heroes for being late, he was surprised to see everyone laying on the ground, including Bakugo.
When Deku realized what had happened, his expression changed.
Deku has witnessed all of AFO Shigaraki's terror, from Bakugo's torn All Might Card to Best Jeanist flailing around the corner to Mirko's decapitated body.
Suddenly, AFO Shigaraki provokes Deku by asking him about his excuse for being late to the party.
He continues to annoy Deku by making him realize that Toga stalled Deku, preventing him from assisting the other heroes.
He also urged Deku to respond to him by saying that there was nothing he could do or that the plan had failed.
As Deku's emotions rise, AFO Shigaraki continues to shake him by telling him to escape his responsibilities, just like everyone else.
As a result, Deku's emotions take over, his eyes turn monstrous, and the Black Whip comes out frantically, just like in the previous war.
Given Deku's current state, AFO Shigaraki believes that Deku's movements will be overly hasty and predictable, creating an ideal opportunity for him to launch a well-timed counterattack that will split Deku's spine in two.
To the chagrin of AFO Shigaraki, Lemillion appears from the ground up and tells Deku that everything is fine.
Lemillion desperately tries to calm Deku down by informing him that everyone is fine and that they are all alive.
He also told Deku that he knows exactly what he’s feeling right now, so he can’t forgive himself.
However, AFO Shigaraki wants them to feel this way so that he can carry out his plan against them all.
Lemillion continues, telling Deku that Edgeshot is saving Bakugo's life from the inside, which is why they must keep fighting because they haven't lost anything.
On the contrary, AFO Shigaraki attempts to dismiss Lemillion's words, remarking that such idealistic claims are referred to as "escapism."
Lemillion, on the other hand, is adamant that they are optimistic heroes who will make these ideals a reality.
As a result, Deku recalls All Might, Banjo, and the jet pilot telling him that it's okay to be angry. The most important thing, however, is that he maintains emotional control.
Fortunately, Deku awoke from his monstrous state and apologized to Lemillion, who replied that apologies would be forthcoming later.
Suddenly, Deku turns to AFO Shigaraki and addresses All For One, as if Shigaraki was still there while the rest of the One For All users stood behind him.
The chapter ends with Deku looking more furious than ever while he wears his Black Whip as a scarf.
