Miyo Saimori: The Unwanted Child of the Saimori Household
Miyo Saimori, also referred to by some as the Japanese Cinderella, is the main female protagonist of My Happy Marriage.
She is the firstborn of the Saimori household but was later dismissed from her privileges due to her lack of supernatural talent.
Unlike her step-sister Kaya, Miyo is a very kindhearted woman with a pure soul. But as Miyo grew up without the warmth of her mother and the guidance of her father, she became an empty, hollow shell.
She also became the subject of torture and discrimination by her own family.
Miyo was born on April 19, which means she is an Aries woman. She was only 19 years old when she was betrothed to Kiyoka Kudou.
During the Meiji Restoration Period, Miyo was already of marriageable age. This allowed Miyo’s father to let her go, not caring about what would happen to her in the Kudou household.
Unbeknownst to others, Miyo holds supernatural abilities that have yet to be awakened.
This is because Sumi, Miyo’s mother, sealed her child’s abilities in order to protect her from corrupt individuals with devious intentions.
Kiyoka Kudou: The Youthful Head of the Kudou Household
At the young age of 27, Kiyoka is already the head of the Kudou household. This is because of his superior supernatural abilities and his commanding position in the Special Anti-Grotesquerie Unit of the military.
Kiyoka Kudou’s birthday is unknown. This is probably due to Kiyoka’s safety, given his significant position in the military.
In light of this, Kiyoka is expected to build a family that will inherit his supernatural abilities as well as the household’s name as soon as possible.
However, Kiyoka had been through a lot of failed arranged marriages until he met Miyo Saimori.
He was initially hesitant with Miyo, but as they spent time together, he began to open his heart to her.
Now that Kiyoka is Miyo’s guardian, he will stop at nothing to protect her from all sorts of danger!

Kaya Saimori: The Wicked Daughter of the Saimori Household
The second-born of the Saimori household, Kaya, is only 16 years old. She is betrothed to Kouji Tatsuishi in the hopes that both of their families will return to their former glory.
In the beginning, Kaya was only curious about Miyo, but due to her mother’s bad influence, she became rude and nasty towards her. What’s more, Kaya also believed that her sister was an embarrassment to their family.
Kaya’s birthday is on April 19, the same date as Miyo's. So far, there has been no connection between their birthdays, but we’re speculating that this is not a simple coincidence and has something to do with their fate.

Kouji Tatsuishi: The Second Son of the Tatsuishi Household
Kouji Tatsuishi is the only childhood friend of Miyo Saimori. He is in love with Miyo, but he doesn’t have enough courage to protect her from her own family due to his poor supernatural abilities.
But of course, Kouji can still man up and save Miyo in his own small ways. He likes her so much that he is willing to sacrifice his own happiness just to ensure Miyo’s freedom and safety.
Unfortunately, Kouji’s age and birthday are unknown, but we are speculating that he is one or two years older than Miyo.
