The series already has a stacked voice cast, and now, another popular VA has joined. Recently, the fantasy anime My Daughter Left the Nest and Returned an S-Rank Adventurer revealed that a Demon Slayer star has joined its cast.
This popular VA is none other than Hiro Shimono who joins the series as the voice of a mysterious new character who appeared in the anime’s third episode.
With Shimono joining the cast, there’s now even more reason for anime fans to check out this new series.
My Daughter Left the Nest: An Under-the-Radar Fall 23 Fantasy Anime
The Fall 23 season is in full swing, with long-awaited sequels like Goblin Slayer II and The Eminence in Shadow Season 2 as well as new titles like Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End and The Apothecary Diaries.
One anime that has fallen a bit under the radar this season is My Daughter Left the Nest, a fantasy series based on the light novel series of the same name.
My Daughter Left the Nest is made by Typhoon Graphics, the studio behind Why Raeliana Ended Up at the Duke's Mansion and Sengoku Night Blood.
It may seem like your average fantasy anime, but that’s far from the case as its story is a more subdued and chill take on the genre.
This series follows Belgrieve and his daughter, Angeline. Belgrieve was a former adventurer who retired after losing his leg during his adventuring days.
Soon, Angeline goes on her own journey to become an adventurer like her father. Angeline returns after five years as an S-Class adventurer.

Demon Slayer’s Zenitsu Joins My Daughter Left the Nest Anime
The show’s voice cast is already filled with big names. After all, Belgrieve is voiced by Junichi Suwabe (Ryomen Sukuna in Jujutsu Kaisen) while Angeline is voiced by Saori Hayami (Yor Forger in Spy x Family).
Now, the anime’s voice cast just became even more stacked as the new character, Schwartz, is revealed to be voiced by Hiro Shimono.
Shimono is perhaps best known as the voice of Zenitsu in Demon Slayer. He is also the voice of Dabi in My Hero Academia, Connie Springer in Attack on Titan, and Aoba Kuronuma in Durarara.
Schwartz first appeared in the anime’s third episode, though he remains to be a mysterious character.
Fans who want to know more about him will have to watch the next episode of My Daughter Left the Nest, which will be released this week.
