After releasing in Japan back in March, the Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation OVA is finally available for streaming on Crunchyroll.

Crunchyroll recently announced that the Mushoku Tensei OVA is available starting today to stream.

The OVA was originally shown in Japan on March 6 at a special screening at Toho Cinemas Hibiya. For fans who couldn’t attend the special screening, the OVA was released as part of the Volume 4 Blu-Ray release.

For its story, the OVA sees Rudeus reuniting with his father in Millishion while Eris sets out to fulfill her dream of slaying goblins.

Soon though, Eris encounters Cliff while at the Adventurers’ Guild. Cliff is a conceited young mage who might spoil Eris’ dream.

This OVA in particular is set at the same time as episode 16 of the TV anime, but it instead follows Eris instead of Rudeus.

Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation (Mushoku Tensei: Isekai Ittara Honki Dasu in Japanese) is an isekai light novel series written by Rifujin na Magonote. It began as a web novel series and was then picked up by MF Books and published as a series of light novels.

The light novel series was then adapted into a manga and a TV anime, with the anime adaptation being released in 2021. The first season was made by Studio Bind and features 23 episodes.

Mushoku Tensei follows a 34-year-old shut-in who gets into a tragic accident. Instead of passing on to the afterlife, he finds himself transported into a new world as Rudeus Greyrat.

While other isekai anime transport their protagonists as themselves, this series is different as Rudeus starts his life in another world as a baby. From there, he grows up and begins his new journey in a world of magic.

The Mushoku Tensei OVA is directed by Fumiaki Kataoka, Yoshinobu Tokumoto, and Kai Hasako. It is now available for streaming on Crunchyroll with English dub and subtitle options.

In case you missed it, Mushoku Tensei Season 2 was announced at Anime Expo 2022. While the announcement included a new trailer, only a release date window was announced instead of an official release date.
