Ms. Marvel got a different set of powers, something like light manipulation, in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as she enters the franchise in her very own titular series. This sparked some debates on what the possible reason is that led to this controversial change in powers

Recently, Mister Fantastic made a cameo appearance on Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and truth be told, their abilities to elongate their body to whatever shape and size are really similar to each other.

Sana Amanat had a chat with The Direct and when asked whether it is the similarity of Ms. Marvel’s and Mister Fantastic’s powers that led to the change, "Honestly, I don't know. I don't think so. I mean, from my understanding, it was kind of linked to the type of story that we wanted to tell with Kamala, and not only linkage to other MCU events, but also to the sense of history that she has and the relationship to her family, linking the powers to her family's past. I think that was really the bigger idea."
