Ms. Marvel Unveils Official Poster For the 50-Day Countdown Before the Series Arrive on Disney Plus


After Moon Knight, the next Marvel Cinematic Universe series to arrive will be Ms. Marvel and with the debut of Kamala Khan into the franchise, an official poster is unveiled for the 50-day countdown for the premiere of the show starts today before it premieres on Disney Plus. What makes it more amazing is that it showcases the rich culture from where the titular character is from, upholding the MCU promise of representation and diversification.

For the start of the 50-day countdown before the arrival of Ms. Marvel on Disney Plus, Marvel unveils the official poster for the show which includes the titular character, the cast of the show, and a colorful and youthful vibe on the image with representations of the ethnicity of Kamala Khan hailing from Pakistan and being the girl from New Jersey who becomes a superhero like her idols.

Marvel continues to uphold its promise of diversification and representation in the franchise by, as much as possible, accurately depicting the character’s ethnicity and origins, in the case of Kamala, the Pakistani culture. Comments are showered with love from the people who feels that proper representation is key to inclusion when it comes to movies and series.

Ms. Marvel, will be having her own titular series where the 16-year-old Muslim Pakistani-American heroine from New Jersey goes from zero to hero. Big things await her as she would be teaming up with Captain Marvel in the upcoming sequel, The Marvels.

Kamala Khan’s life is about to change from a typical teenager who pens superhero fan fiction, gets starstruck with her crush, and tries to fit in as she found a gauntlet in her attic that would make her like her idols and give her powers but as soon as the responsibilities kicks in, Kamala gets into something she never imagined, a new life as a superhero.

Iman Vellani will be portraying Ms. Marvel/ Kamala Khan and will be joined by Aramis Knight, Saagar Shaikh, Mohan Kapur, Matt Lintz, Yasmeen Fletcher, Rish Shah, Zenobia Shroff, Laith Naki, Azher Usman, Travina Springer, Nimra Bucha, and Laura Marsden. Reportedly, they would also be joined by Farhan Akhtar as well.

Ms. Marvel is scheduled for release on June 8, 2022, exclusively on Disney Plus.
