Ms. Marvel Producer is Nervous About the Response on the Upcoming Fifth Episode

The fourth episode of Ms. Marvel ended with a very intriguing cliffhanger where Kamala Khan has seemingly gone back in time to the partition of India in 1947. It still remains to be seen whether the next episode will cover that event or how it will exactly play into the narrative, but it looks like it will be the show's most ambitious episode to date.

In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Ms. Marvel executive producer and character co-creator Sana Amanat admitted that she is nervous about the response to the upcoming fifth episode because of the risk that they took. However, she didn't give any clues about what will happen in the episode which led her to look forward to the viewers' response.

"The next episode is going to be an interesting one," Amanat said. "Full disclosure, it's the episode I'm most nervous about. I think it's really great, but we took some risks with that episode. So, I'm curious to know how people are going to respond to it."

It's hard to tell why Amanat is exactly nervous about the response to the upcoming episode. An easy guess is that the episode will explore the partition of India as its main storyline which is unconventional for any MCU project to do, but it will also be an opportunity to showcase it to a worldwide audience who might not be familiar with the historical event.

There are still two episodes left in the series and they still have several questions to answer, but it looks like some of them will be addressed in the upcoming episode and the finale before Kamala joins her idol Captain Marvel in The Marvels. Either way, it is already exciting to see what they have in store in the upcoming episode and how they will address the cliffhanger.
