Phase Four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is already shaping up to be a groundbreaking event because of the multiverse. Speaking of this whole multiversal thing, Sony Pictures' next offering Morbius just dropped its second action-packed trailer, and man, there's definitely a lot to unpack. The said teaser gives us a better understanding of Michael Morbius' illness — a rare blood disease and his desire to find a cure. His quest to find an antidote leads to something much more complicated as he afflicts himself with vampirism, giving him superhuman abilities.

The trailer also drops a huge connection between the film and the Marvel Cinematic "Multiverse", with Adrian Toomes aka Vulture seemingly recruiting Morbius for a future assignment. The latter part of the clip also confirms that Sony's own Spider-Man Universe is all connected with Morbius making a reference to Eddie Brock aka Venom. Check out the trailer below:

It would be safe to assume that the film takes place around the same time Spider-Man: No Way Home is happening which makes a ton of sense considering Vulture reportedly won't be part of the upcoming MCU flick. Now, as cool as the concept of the multiverse is, we still can't help but scratch our heads with all the jaw-dropping revelations as we head into the worlds of Sony and Marvel colliding.

Morbius is currently scheduled for a theatrical release on January 28, 2022.
