Moon Knight: New Featurette Shows How Marc Spector Transforms Into the Caped Superhero


With only a few weeks left before Moon Knight premieres, a featurette has been released introducing the new caped superhero which shows how he transforms from Marc Spector to the crime-fighting hero and some commentaries from the people behind the scenes of the upcoming series on Disney Plus, hyping the fans on what is in store for the show.

The featurette starts with how Marc Spector transforms into the Moon Knight with white glowing eyes and his mask slowly covering his whole face. Ethan Hawke, who plays the villain in the series, Arthur Harrow, shared the fun of Moon Knight coming into a new world as a new superhero.

Oscar Isaac who plays the titular hero also discussed his process of learning about Moon Knight, describing it as a "real, legitimate character study.” Marvel’s big boss, Kevin Feige praises Moon Knight being a spectacular hero with an “incredibly unique visual look.” Isaac also shared that they want to put things into the “most dramatic juice,” and how to deal with the mental health problems of the character seriously.

The director of the series, Mohamed Diab, shared how they decided to go with the story flow from learning about Steve Grant to discovering Marc Spector whilst being in the same person. May Calamawy, the actress who plays Layla, described the show to be “Fight Club meets Indiana Jones,” an interesting mix of the tone of two well-known films into one series.

Ethan Hawke hypes the show up with the duality of the aspects of the upcoming series and how they would be dealing with every inch of it. Isaac even opened up what excites him the most on Moon Knight: unpredictability as if there is no idea of what is to come and getting a sweet surprise of what could possibly happen.

Moon Knight received a 14A or TV-14 rating which means that there may be some coarse language, violence, or some scenes that may be sexually suggestive. Those who are aged 14 years or above can watch the show; however, they must be accompanied by an adult

Moon Knight is scheduled for release on March 30, 2022, exclusively on Disney Plus.
