Mieruko-chan Episode 1 Release Date and Time, COUNTDOWN, Where to Watch, News and Everything You Need to Know

A new season of anime is coming soon, and along with this are many new shows to look forward to. For fans of the supernatural, comedy, or both, then it might be worth checking out Mieruko-chan, coming this Fall 2021.

Mieruko-chan is a horror-comedy manga series created by Tomoki Izumi. It started serialization in 2018 under Kadokawa Shoten's ComicWalker. Yen Press handles the publishing in North America. The upcoming anime adaptation is animated by Passione, the studio behind shows such as Citrus and High School DxD Hero. Check out the promotional video below:

Yuki Ogawa (FLCL Progressive, Miru Tights) will be directing the show. The cast includes Sora Amamiya (Akame in Akame ga Kill!, Aqua in KonoSuba) playing the role of Miko Yotsuya. The rest of the cast consists of Kaede Hondo (Sakura Minamoto in Zombie Land Saga, Flora Beltrum in Seirei Gensouki: Spirit Chronicles) as Hana Yurikawa and Ayane Sakura (Gabi Braun in Attack on Titan, Ochako Uraraka in My Hero Academia) as Yulia Niguredou. The opening theme is titled "Mienai Kara ne!?" ("Since You Can't See Them, Right?!") while the ending theme is titled "Mita na? Mita yo ne?? Miteru yo ne???" ("You Saw It? You Saw It Right, You're Seeing It Right Now, Right???"). Both are performed by Sora Amamiya as Miko.

Mieruko-chan follows the story of Miko Yotsuya, a high school student with the ability to see terrifying ghosts and monsters. Even though this absolutely scares her, she attempts to be brave by pretending that she doesn't see the creatures surrounding her. This is also her way of keeping herself and her friend Hana away from danger.

Episode 1 of Mieruko-chan will air in Japan at 10 PM Japan Standard Time (JST). In the following timezones, that would be at these times:
