Alongside the announcement, they have revealed a new visual. Check it out below:

KonoSuba: God's Blessing on This Wonderful World! or Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo! is a light novel series written by Natsume Akatsuki and illustrated by Kurone Mishima created in 2013. It also has a spin-off light novel series and a manga adaptation.

In 2016, the first season of the anime adaptation by Studio Deen was released. The second season followed a year after. In 2019, a movie was adapted by J.C. Staff titled KonoSuba: God's Blessing on This Wonderful World! Legend of Crimson. According to Crunchyroll, it earned 200 million yen during its opening weekend.

KonoSuba brings a new look to the isekai genre. It veers away from the usual tropes by making it incredibly comedic, occasionally over the top, and pretty ironic. The series is well-received by many, earning at least an 8.14/10 rating on MyAnimeList. Fans have been waiting for new updates regarding the series, especially a third season.

It follows the story of Kazuma Sato, a student who dies and gets transported to a fantasy MMORPG-type world. Here is the official synopsis from Crunchyroll:

"After a traffic accident, Kazuma Sato's disappointingly brief life was supposed to be over, but he wakes up to see a beautiful girl before him. She claims to be a goddess, Aqua, and asks if he would like to go to another world and bring only one thing with him. Kazuma decides to bring the goddess herself, and they are transported to a fantasy world filled with adventure, ruled by a demon king. Now Kazuma only wants to live in peace, but Aqua wants to solve many of this world's problems, and the demon king will only turn a blind eye for so long…"

Hopefully, further news from the studio will talk about an official announcement for Season 3. We need more of our chaotic party's adventures, misadventures, and everything in between!
