One of the actors that was recently included in Amazon's Lord of the Rings series wouldn't be appearing after all.
Back in September, Midsommar star Will Poulter was revealed to have been cast for the series and was even set to be one of the leads. However, a recent report from Variety says the actor has dropped out of the project.
According to the outlet, Poulter won't be joining the show because of schedule conflicts. His role in the series wasn't revealed, especially since they seem to have intended for it to be a mystery. And just like Poulter's supposed-role, plot details are also being kept under wraps.
That being said, it is known that the Amazon series won't be making remakes of the Lord of the Rings series seen in Peter Jackson's movies, rather it'll be set in a time period preceding The Fellowship of the Ring.
Some of the episodes in the series will be directed by Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom filmmaker J.A. Bayona. The executive producers will be J.D. Payne and Patrick McKay. Game of Thrones producer Bryan Cogman is set at the consulting producer for the project.
Jeniffer Salke, head of Amazon Studios, stated in a previous report that they are aiming for a 2021 release for Lord of the Rings.
