Brad Pitt Calls His Sculptures A ‘Radical Inventory Of The Self’

According to 7news.com.au, Brad Pitt sees the art form as a part of his so-called radical inventory of the self. The dad of six added that art expression allowed him to be more accountable to the people he may have hurt and the moments that he might have gotten wrong.

“For me, it’s about self-reflection. It was born out of ownership over what I call a ‘radical inventory of the self,' and getting really brutally honest with me, and taking account of those I may have hurt and the moments I’ve just gotten wrong,” Pitt said.

One of Pitt’s sculptures features a house-shaped structure molded in clear silicon and shot with white bullets.

His other sculpture hangs on the wall and is titled Aiming at You I Saw Me But It Was Too Late This Time. Pitt originally made the sculpture in 2020.

Pitt’s works will be on display at the Sara Hilden Art Museum until January 2023.

Brad Pitt Hints At The Possibility Of Quitting Acting Early

In June, Angelina Jolie’s ex-husband suggested that he was on the last leg of his acting career. As such, he has become pickier with the projects that he will take part in.

“I consider myself on my last leg, this last semester or trimester. What is this section gonna be? And how do I wanna design that?” he told GQ.

Brad Pitt Quit Smoking

During the same interview, Pitt also shared that he had finally quit smoking.

“I don't have that ability to do just one or two a day. It's not in my makeup. I'm all in. And I'm going to drive into the ground. I've lost my privileges. I had a really cool men's group here that was really private and selective, so it was safe. Because I'd seen things of other people, like Philip Seymour Hoffman, who had been recorded while they were spilling their guts, and that's just atrocious to me,” he said.

Other than his sculptures and the possibility that he could bid acting goodbye soon, Pitt is also dealing with other issues in his personal life. For instance, Jolie just filed a counter lawsuit against him over Chateau Miraval.

The exes have also reached an agreement over the custody of their children even though they’ve been divorced for six years.
