Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have been supporting each other with all their ventures since quitting The Firm. So, when the Duke of Sussex announced that he would be releasing a memoir, it was highly likely that he had his wife’s support. This week, there were reports claiming that Prince Harry’s memoir is already signed off by his lawyers and that it will be released during the holiday season.
Despite these recent updates, accurate information about what Prince Harry’s memoir is all about is still limited. But there are speculations that Meghan Markle helped her husband ghostwrite the book.
Did Meghan Markle Help Ghostwrite Prince Harry’s Memoir?
Nile Gardiner, Margaret Thatcher’s former aide, is convinced that the Duke of Sussex’s memoir will be ghastly. She is the one who thinks that Markle helped her husband in writing his memoir.
“This will be ghastly. Much of it was probably ghostwritten by Meghan. Prince Harry’s tell-all memoir written and likely to be on shelves by Christmas,” she said (via Express).
Pulitzer Prize Winner JR Moehringer Helped Prince Harry Write His Memoir
While it is true that someone helped Prince Harry write his memoir, there’s no proof that this was Markle. Rather, Pulitzer Prize-winning author JR Moehringer is the one who helped him out.
According to The Independent, Moehringer won a Pulitzer Prize for Feature Writing in 2000. He also profiled tennis star Andrew Agassi and Nike co-founder, Phil Knight.
There are also reports claiming that Moehringer was hired to ghostwrite Prince Harry’s memoir with the help of their common friend, George Clooney. The actor is currently working with Moehringer in The Tender Bar.
Prince Harry Will Unveil A Slew Of Royal Family-Related Stories In His Memoir
Meanwhile, even though Prince Harry received Moehringer’s help in writing his memoir, all the stories that will be included in his book all came from him.
According to reports, Prince Harry will share a ton of royal family-related stories in his memoir, and some of them will be negative. However, Queen Elizabeth will be spared because she’s adored by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said about the other members of the British clan.
A source told The Sun that Prince Charles is worried about his son’s memoir but not because of what Prince Harry might say about it. Rather, he’s more concerned about what the Duke of Sussex would say about his wife, Camilla Parker-Bowles.
“Charles has shared his concerns with William and is keen he somehow goes on the record and sticks up for Camilla should the book attack her. But as much as William loves his father, he’s unlikely to want to get involved. In all likelihood, he will try and stay neutral,” the source said (via Cosmopolitan).
Another source told Mirror UK that the entire royal household is panicking at the thought of Prince Harry’s memoir being released.
“There is a now tsunami of fear among the royals over what Harry will write. Many hope he may correct a few things but do not hold much hope,” the source said.
However, there’s no stopping Prince Harry from releasing his memoir because he already reportedly, received $20 million upfront for the project.
