Meghan Markle has not yet received an official invitation to attend King Charles' coronation on May 6. And there are claims that if the monarch would extend an invitation, he would only give one to his son Prince Harry and not the latter's wife.

Meghan Markle May Use Archie's Birthday To Skip King Charles' Coronation?

But according to royal expert Angela Levin, Meghan Markle might not want to attend King Charles' coronation altogether amid fears that she would get another lukewarm reception from the royal family and the British public.

So, her perfect excuse for skipping King Charles' coronation – that is, if she gets an invitation – is her son Archie's fourth birthday. After all, Archie's special day falls on the same day as his grandfather's coronation.

Meghan Markle Could Prioritize King Charles' Coronation Over Her Son's Birthday?

But Levin also said that there's a possibility for Markle to choose her father-in-law's coronation over her son's birthday. After all, the former is a once-in-a-lifetime event, and Archie's birthday can be celebrated on another day.

"If anybody could make a judgment about Meghan, the chance of wearing a snazzy tiara would go down very well … So, she's there with a glittery tiara, I think she'd love it — never mind the kid's birthday," she said (via Cheat Sheet).

As for Prince Harry, he might also attend King Charles' coronation but would have to immediately return home to be with his wife and kids to celebrate Archie's birthday.

Prince Harry Could Attend King Charles' Coronation But Won't Stay In The UK For Very Long?

While promoting his book Spare, Prince Harry was asked if he has plans to attend King Charles' coronation. He said that anything could happen until May, but before anything else, he wants to have a conversation with his father.

"There's a lot that can happen between now and then. But the door is always open. The ball is in their court… There's a lot to be discussed, and I really hope that they're willing to sit down and talk about it," Prince Harry said.

According to AS, Prince Harry would want to be by King Charles' side during his coronation day because it is a very important milestone for his father. The Duke of Sussex also wants to salvage his relationship with the royal family.

Meanwhile, royal expert Kinsey Schofield recently told Fox News Digital that Markle is upset and overwhelmed with everything that's happening ahead of King Charles' coronation.

She said that the Duchess of Sussex feels that the palace is only fighting for Prince Harry to be at the coronation.

"It's not that Meghan feels excluded from the planning. Meghan feels like the palace is only fighting for Prince Harry to attend and they don't care whether she shows up or not. And that does not sit well with her. Rejection is one of Meghan's greatest insecurities. She does not want to be booed or humiliated on a global scale, yet she understands that her brand stateside increases in value with her proximity to the royal family," she said.
