Meghan Markle could face her half-sister Samantha Markle in court if she and Prince Harry would be deposed. One of Samantha's complaints in her filing had to do with the Duchess of Sussex seemingly saying that she grew up as an only child.
Meghan Markle's Lawyer Stresses That The Duchess Never Said That She Was An Only Child
But Meghan Markle's lawyer Michael Kump slammed Samantha's allegations by saying that his client never said that she was an only child. Rather, she was simply sharing what her life felt like while she was growing up.
"She never declared: 'I am an only child with no siblings.' All she did was describe her own experiences growing up. Such statements are not readily capable of being proved true or false," Kump said (via Mirror UK).

Samantha Markle Wants Prince Harry And Meghan Markle To Be Deposed?
But Samantha's lawyer Peter Ticktin is accusing Prince Harry's wife of promoting a false narrative about her childhood. Ticktin also mentioned the authors of Finding Freedom for allegedly using Markle to affirm her rags-to-riches story.
The judge who is overseeing the case will soon issue a written judgment following the 80-minute-long hearing. But Judge Honeywell reportedly said that she found it difficult to see how Markle's statements were published in the book under Florida law.
If Samantha's case against Prince Harry and Markle advances to the next stage, the Sussexes would have to answer the former's questions by July this year. Despite their attempts to take down the Duchess of Sussex, Samantha's lawyer reportedly admitted that their case against the mom is not as strong as other cases that he handled in the past.
In September, Prince Harry and Markle's legal team tried to block Samantha's request for them to be deposed. But their request was denied by a judge earlier this month.
Samantha Markle Has Been Criticizing Prince Harry And Meghan Markle For Years?
Throughout the past couple of years, Samantha has said a number of disparaging things against her half-sister. It all started after the Duchess of Sussex refused to invite Samantha to her royal wedding back in 2018.
In January, Samantha also lashed out at Prince Harry and called him emotionally underdeveloped following the release of his memoir Spare.
"'I think he [Harry] is lacking in empathy, remorse, and shame. He is showing a clear disconnect with reality and is so emotionally underdeveloped that he can't move on from this stage where he has resentment over a whole host of issues. I don't think he can think like an adult because I don't think emotionally he is one," she said (via The New York Post).
Samantha also called the Duke of Sussex a loose cannon.
"It's really parred for the course that he's behaving in this bitter and delusionary way," she said.
