Meghan Markle has been sparking speculations that she could run for President one day. It all started shortly after she wed Prince Harry and eventually returned to the United States after quitting her royal duties.
Most recently, the voice behind British Siri, Jon Briggs, shared his thoughts about Meghan Markle potentially running for office. He said that the Duchess of Sussex seemingly dropped a subtle clue when she wrote a letter to Nancy Pelosi months ago.
Meghan Markle Dropped A Subtle Clue About Her Political Plans In Her Letter To Nancy Pelosi
In her letter, Markle said that she was not an elected official or a politician. According to Briggs, this sounded as though Prince Harry's wife was trying to say that she was hoping to be an elected official or a politician.
Briggs also claimed that Markle's letter to Pelosi sounded more like a speech written by a speechwriter. And this could indicate that she's already familiarizing herself with how her speeches will be written when she runs for President.
"Meghan's starting stance is the most obvious. The line 'I am not an elected official and I'm not a politician' could almost include 'but I'd like to be' in parentheses. More interestingly although this is supposedly a letter, it reads as if it was a speech. This was written to be spoken aloud and has the hallmarks of a speechwriter about it," he said (via Cheat Sheet).
Meghan Markle Has Been Seeking The Support Of Democrats
Last year, sources also told Daily Mail that Markle had been openly networking with Democrats to help her with her future presidential bid.
"The Blairite, internationalist, and Democratic Party networks are buzzing with talk about Meghan's political ambitions and potential backers," the source said.
Even royal author Omid Scobie, who is reportedly good friends with the Duchess of Sussex, is convinced that running for President is inevitable for Markle.
"Meghan is the embodiment of the American dream. One day we may see Meghan become President," he said (via Page Six).
Meghan Markle Trying To Establish Herself As A Familiar Political Figure
Royal expert Kinsey Schofield also predicted that Markle would one day run for President.
"When Meghan disagrees with something, she does not sit back and watch, she almost immediately starts to try to implement change. Is she going to run for President in 2024? Unlikely, however, there is room for her since Biden isn't committing. She is connecting with political figures to ask how she can help them in their efforts, and I think the ultimate goal would be that she could eventually run herself once she has established herself as a familiar political figure," she told Express.
As of writing, Markle has not expressed any desire to run for President. So, it is safe to say that all these claims are just based on the predictions of the sources.
