Meghan Markle continues to get criticisms even after she stepped down as a senior royal alongside her husband, Prince Harry, on Jan. 8, 2020. After the couple decided to ditch the royal life for good, they then flew off to Canada and settled down in the United States.
Despite maintaining a low profile and being away from the other members of the royal family, Meghan Markle consistently makes it to the headlines. This time, the wife of Prince Harry is lambasted again after the most recent ruling in her court case.

Famous Broadcaster Branded Meghan Markle As ‘Manipulative’
Former newspaper editor Piers Morgan called Meghan Markle a “manipulative piece of work” after the latest outcome of the Duchess of Sussex’s court case against a British media organization. The 56-year-old broadcaster also claimed that the wife of Prince Harry won on a technicality over how many of her words had been used.
Piers said it would have been fine if the publisher used fewer words. He wrote that:
"(To be precise, 585 words from a 1,250-word letter was deemed too much).”

As if that not enough, Piers Morgan also claimed that Meghan Markle already “expected” that her father, Thomas Markle Sr., would publish the letter she gave him, which allegedly promoted the former actress to call Thomas “daddy.” This way, according to Piers, Meghan would “pull at the hearts-strings” of the public.
To recall, it was reported that Meghan Markle pinged her communications secretary, Jason Knauf, after she drafted the letter she sent to her father. In a text message, the better half of Prince Harry wrote:
"Obviously everything I have drafted is with the understanding that it could be leaked, so I have been meticulous in my word choice, but please do let me know if anything stands out for you as a liability."
Piers Morgan was quick to react to Meghan Markle’s text after he learned about it. The journalist, as per Express UK, wrote in his MailOnline how he was so “repulsed” he had a physical reaction.
Though avid followers of Meghan Markle were pleased to know about her victory, Piers Morgan said the Duchess of Sussex should not celebrate too soon. The Life Stories host penned:
"But if I were her, I'd stick the celebratory champagne back in the fridge today. Thanks to this court case, we've now seen what the real Meghan looks like, fork tongue and all. It's not a pretty sight.”
Meghan Markle has yet to respond to the latest statements of Piers Morgan. Most, if not all, followers of the royal family are aware that the broadcaster is among the most vocal critics of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
Meghan Markle And Prince Harry Excluded From Christmas Photo Display
Meanwhile, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are said to be heartbroken after they were not included in Queen Elizabeth’s Christmas photo display in 2019. It was at the year, according to reports, when things are starting to get chaotic between the Sussexes and the other members of the royal family.

Royal biographer Christopher Andersen told Us Weekly:
"I think this is a turning point. There are all sorts of subtle messages that are conveyed in this kind of soap opera that goes on. In 2018, she sat there in front of a Christmas tree. She gave her Christmas address and there were the family photos. … Including Archie and Meghan and Harry, very prominently displayed.”
Queen Elizabeth reportedly has not decided what to do about it, especially amid the speculations that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were planning to ditch the royal life at the time. Andersen added:
"There’s a point at which—just before she gives a speech to the director on set—[she is] asked which photographs she wants in the shot next to her." Looking at a photo of the Sussexes, she apparently said, ‘We won’t be needing that one.’ So there you had, in photographs right next to the Queen, the people that clearly were most important to her. The Cambridges, all of them. Her [father], King George VI, and [Prince] Philip.”
Prince Harry allegedly did not take it well. The royal biographer even claimed:
"A friend of Harry’s told me that he felt that he was being erased in a sense from the family. And it was right after that, that they made their [decision to leave the U.K.]. I think that was one of the things that prompted them to issue the statement that they were stepping back from royal [life for a] full-time real life. It seems very subtle, but when you think about it, when somebody cuts you out of the family album, so to speak, it’s a pretty strong message."
It remains to be seen if Prince Harry and Meghan Markle would be returning to the United Kingdom to celebrate Christmas with the rest of the royal brood. If not, it would be the second Christmas of the Sussexes away from Queen Elizabeth, Prince Charles, Prince William, Kate Middleton, and other family members.
