Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were warmly welcomed by the royal family. However, not all of the members of the royal family approved of the Duke of Sussex's choice of wife, including Camilla Parker Bowles, who doesn't see the former Suits star eye to eye.

Meghan Markle And Camilla Parker Bowles Allegedly Do Not See Eye To Eye

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have remained quiet after the Queen announced that Camilla Parker Bowles will be queen consort when Prince Charles takes over the throne. According to royal biographer Tom Bower, Prince Harry's wife and stepmother don't like each other. He also believed that their "silence" was an insult to the royal family.

"Perhaps the Sussexes’ deafening silence is Meghan’s way of declaring war," Bower told The Sun. "It is believed that she has never liked Camilla, and I am sure the feelings are reciprocated. From the outset, Camilla was suspicious about the adventuress from Los Angeles."

Bower said Camilla couldn't believe that Markle would sacrifice her career and independence and devote herself to service and the monarchy. Despite her suspicion, the Duchess of Cornwall has remained tight-lipped as she witnesses how her husband endures Prince Harry's public attacks.

Camilla continues to support Prine Charles by comforting him and giving him good advice, reassuring the heir apparent that he had done the best he could for his son. She also assured him that even if the Sussexes challenged his authority, he would emerge victorious.

"During those inevitably endless, tortured and inconclusive conversations, Camilla is the sort who would refer to Meghan as ‘that minx’ — the self-seeking trouble- maker whose antics will always end in tears," Bower added.

Tom Bower's claim about the two duchesses was in stark contrast to how they were seen during their first public appearance after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's royal wedding. Just days after Markle officially became a member of the firm, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex joined Princ Charles and Camilla at a garden party.

During the event, Markle and Camilla were seen greeting each other and holding each other's hands. Body language expert Judi James told Express their affection was "clumsy" but "genuine."

Royal biographer Katie Nicholl of Vanity Fair, also shared that sources told her Camilla was Markle's pillar of support. She reportedly reached out to Prince Harry and Markle and gave them advice.

"She wants everyone to get along and be happy. Her mantra is carry on and keep smiling. She doesn’t want to see anyone struggling and she is fond of Meghan and she could be a very good ally too," the source told Nicholl.

Many said her response was "insincere" and "pathetic."
