Amanda Seyfried and Lindsay Lohan reunite to discuss the possible Mean Girls 2. Though the award-winning The Dropout star believes a sequel will never happen, she considers a musical will do.

Lohan and Seyfried are two of the main casts of the 2004 cult movie Mean Girls, along with McAdams and Lacey Chabert. As many have been clamoring to see Mean Girls 2 after almost two decades, the girls share the perfect idea on how they could reprise their roles as Cady and Karen.

In a talk with Interview magazine, Seyfried shared her idea for the OG cast members to reunite and do a second iteration of the movie.

"I would kill just to do one week, all of us playing our own roles on Mean Girls on Broadway," she told Lohan.

The Mamma Mia! star referenced the musical adaptation of the film that ended two years ago.

"Because a Mean Girls 2 is never going to happen, is it?" she asked the Parent Trap star.

Lohan, alternatively, believed a Broadway version of the movie would be “fun,” admitting she had heard something about the sequel being a movie musical, of which she wasn’t fond.

"I was like, 'Oh no.' We can't do that. It has to be the same tone," she continued.

"Anyway, Tina [Fey] is busy. She'll get around to it," Seyfried answered back. "Listen, we're all part of each other's worlds whether we like it or not, and it is really nice to be in contact as adults."
