New MCU Report Reveals How Deadpool 3 Will Become Integral in the Multiverse Saga

A lot of MCU fans are looking forward to Deadpool 3. Not only it will mark the return of Ryan Reynolds in the titular role and officially becoming part of the MCU, but it will also bring back Hugh Jackman as Wolverine years after we last saw him in 2017's Logan.

Considering the film is going to be part of the Multiverse Saga and the plot is expected to explore the MCU Multiverse since the characters will come from the Fox universe, there have been questions about how it will all play with the overall multiverse arc of the franchise.

Now, in a recent episode of the Cosmic Circle podcast (via The Direct), reporter Alex Perez sheds some light on how Deadpool 3 will become integral to the Multiverse Saga based on the information that he has heard from insider sources regarding the MCU's Multiverse plans.

According to him, the MCU's Multiverse will crack open in the upcoming Reynolds-led film and the character is also expected to become an important part of the franchise moving forward as a result.

"If you had to ask me at what point do I think the Multiverse is going to crack open. For me, the Multiverse isn’t going to become a plot point that’s going to affect everyone in the MCU until we reach Deadpool [3]," he said.

"Moving forward, Deadpool is going to be an integral part of the MCU, but you’re not really gonna see much about him up until maybe like Deadpool 3."

Perez clarified while the MCU will go full force into the multiverse concept starting with Deadpool 3, the franchise will still tackle individual stories moving forward while dealing with the shenanigans of the multiverse at the same time.

He continued, "There’s still going to be individual stories moving forward, and there’s going to be diverse plot points all around, but the Multiverse isn’t going to really kick into full effect, or it’s going to be the main storyline here on out until Deadpool 3, because after Deadpool 3, everything’s going to be like Multiverse story, Multiverse story, Multiverse story, from there on forward."

Based on these claims, it sounds like the MCU is indeed going all in with exploring the multiverse which is an ambitious plan for the franchise with all the craziness that they can do with the concept.

It is also exciting that Deadpool 3 will be a key player and perhaps we will be seeing an excursion that will make the multiverse "crack open" as a result of what Deadpool and his friends might do in the film. It would be interesting to see how far they will actually go with the concept in the future.
