The shocking death of Chadwick Boseman last year is still a hard pill to swallow for many fans and quite frankly, the void he left in the Marvel Cinematic Universe will be hard to fill. Now, as we approach the first anniversary of the beloved actor's passing, Marvel Studios released a fitting tribute to the Black Panther star in the form of his What If...? episode which serves as his final appearance in the franchise.

Episode 2 revolves around the story of T'Challa being abducted by the Ravagers and officially taking on the Star-Lord persona as he grew older. But unlike his Earth-616 counterpart Peter Quill who often makes questionable plans and decisions, this version of the galaxy's "Legendary Outlaw" possesses the qualities of a true leader much like the original T'Challa from the main MCU timeline.

Watching the episode felt like riding a roller coaster of emotions and quite frankly, it's far from an exaggeration. As entertaining as the episode is, its closing sequence is arguably the highlight of it all as Marvel Studios offered a touching farewell message to Chadwick himself. Episode 2 ends with a title card draped in black that says: "Dedicated to our friend, our inspiration, and our hero Chadwick Boseman"

I'm sure he's smiling down from nirvana with all the love he's been getting following the episode. You are missed every day, King. #WakandaForever
