Magic: The Gathering Secret Lair: Ultimate Edition Release Delayed

Many Magic: The Gathering players have been looking forward to the release of the Secret Lair: Ultimate Edition originally set to be available at local game stores on May 29 as the special MTG product will feature new alternate versions of five of the enemy fetchlands including the following cards:

Scalding Tarn (illustrated by Adam Paquette; set in Shiv of Dominaria)
Verdant Catacombs (illustrated by Sam Burley; set in Innistrad)
Arid Mesa (illustrated by John Avon; set in Amonkhet)
Misty Rainforest (illustrated by Seb McKinnon; set in Ixalan)

However, those who preordered the Secret Lair will have to wait a little longer. Today, Wizards of the Coast has announced that the release of the Secret Lair: Ultimate Edition has been shifted to June 12 because of a delay in manufacturing due to COVID-19.

"This delay is certainly unfortunate, and we hope the two-week delay doesn't cause too many disruptions," WOTC said in a statement. "We are continuing to prioritize the health and safety of our employees, partners, and players and will continue to keep you updated should any other release shifts become necessary."

This news echoes what Wizards said when they shared the update about the delay of the Secret Lair: Stargazing product, assuring fans that they will receive the Secret Lairs sometime in June.
