In today's video shared on Twitter, Verhey talks to Principal Product Designer Mike Turian about the mythical sixth color of Magic: Purple!

They suggested cards like Grapelace, Mox Amethyst, and Plumveil. This may be an obvious April Fools Joke, but a long time ago, Wizards of the Coast actually considered a few options for how to tackle the new color but due to design limitations, they decided not to add it before. Back in 2007, Paul Sattosanti wrote about it on the official MTG website. They even made a mistake of using the wrong card back in an MTG Arena ad earlier this year.
