All Magic: The Gathering MagicFest Events Cancelled Until July

ChannelFireball, the official organizer of all Magic: The Gathering MagicFest events, has announced that they're cancelling MagicFests for Toronto, Prague, Seattle, Valencia, and Providence due to the COVID-19/Corona pandemic, bringing the total of cancelled 2020 MagicFests to 14 after the previous cancellations for MagicFest Turin, Detroit, Sao Paulo, Louiseville, Palm Beach, Houston, Copenhagen, Charlotte, and Kitakyushu.

"Unfortunately, given the continued global health situation, and updated guidance from government and public health officials," ChannelFireball explained, the MagicFests Toronto, Prague, Seattle, Valencia, and Providence "are cancelled."

The MagicFests are not the only kind of major Magic: The Gathering tabletop event being cancelled due to the outbreak. Earlier today, Wizards of the Coast decided to cancel more Players Tour events for the same reason.

It's sad to see that the Coronavirus has a huge impact in Magic tabletop events and businesses. Several local game stores have closed and major MTG retailers have shut down their operations, including the German marketplace, Mage Market. We hope that things will get back to normal so we can play more tabletop MTG.
