Mads Mikkelsen Shares More Details About Rogue One: A Star Wars Story

Last week, Mads Mikkelsen revealed that he's playing the father of Felicity Jones' Jyn Erso in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. In a recent interview with The Evening Standard, the Danish actor shared more details about the film.

First, he said that Rogue One will feature flashbacks:

"I spend a lot of time with [Jones] and she's a wonderful actress. I play her dad at the time of Felicity and I play her dad when she's younger, so we jump back and forth in time."

When asked about the possibility of seeing other classic Star Wars characters in the Gareth Edwards-directed spinoff film, he said:

"Some of them – but I would reveal too much. There are iconic characters in our film and also characters you have never heard of. It's a mix."
