As one of the most influential artists in the world, Madonna has successfully established a big name in the music scene since the 1980s. She is a major part of popular culture and is dubbed the Queen of Pop.

Her incredible fame and success translate into a big wealth. With that said, what is Madonna’s worth today?

The Start of Madonna’s Successful Carer

The music icon has always been in love with dancing. In fact, she moved in with her family to Michigan to study dancing and earned a dance scholarship to the University of Michigan.

However, she dropped out of college in 1978 to move to New York to pursue a dancing career. She then promoted herself as a solo act after forming and playing with different bands.

She signed a deal with Sire Records and dropped her first two singles, “Everybody” and “Burning Up,” in 1982 and 1983.

After becoming big club hits in the U.S., her fame grew. She then released her eponymous debut album in 1983 and landed number eight on the Billboard 200 chart.

Like a Virgin, her second album was then released in 1984 and met an incredible success, becoming her first number one album and the first female album to sell over 5 million copies in the U.S.

From there, she dropped one successful album after another, like Like a Prayer (1989), Bedtime Stories (1994), American Life (2003), Hardy Candy (2008), Rebel Heart (1989) and Madame X (2019), among others.

With 300 million record sales worldwide, Madonna was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2008.

Aside from making music, the hitmaker also ventured into acting. She earned a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress for her role in the 1996 movie Evita.

Other films she did are Desperately Seeking Susan (1985), Dick Tracy (1990) and A League of Their Own (1992). She also tried producing and writing the documentary I Am Because We Are (2008) and directed the movie Filth and Wisdom (2008).

Madonna’s Fashion and Beauty Ventures

Madonna is not only a legendary star when it comes to music. She is also considered a fashion icon by many.

With that said, she has produced four fashion brands. She first collaborated with H&M in 2007, followed by a collaboration with Dolce & Gabbana.

She also has an enterprise called MG Icon LLC, which produces her lifestyle and fashion brands Material Girl and Truth or Dare by Madonna.

The Paychecks that Made Madonna a Millionaire

Although her earnings from music were not revealed, Madonna surely earned big from her singing career.

Movie-wise, she reportedly received $80,000 from the movie Desperately Seeking Susan. She then got $35,000 from Dick Tracy and $1 million from Evita.

Her biggest paycheck, however, came from Body of Evidence. She also got a percentage of gross from the film and kept her entire wardrobe.
