Given there are no explicit details or confirmation yet on whether or not Studio Ghibli and Lucasfilm will be actively working on a Star Wars project, it is best to stay put for more follow-up news surrounding this big mystery collab reveal.

The Disney+ series Star Wars: Vision was initially brought into a Japanese style animation where several anime studios got to tell original, non-canon stories in the Star Wars universe, which led the series to lean on the unique animation style that was deemed to be memorable to fans. Kamikaze Douga, Studio Colorido, Geno Studio, and Trigger were part of the said show.

Lucasfilm did previously confirm a second season for Star Wars: Visions during Star Wars Celebration 2022 and is set to be released in Spring 2023. Could this be it? Could this be the project Studio Ghibli is pointing at?
