Love of Kill Episode 5 has something to live up to; the recently released fourth episode was considered by many to be the best so far.
The josei anime had been hinting at past tragedy, all while trying - rather unsuccessfully - to create a sense of danger and get viewers interested in the main character. This was finally achieved in episode 4, making Koroshi Ai more promising than the first three episodes would have us suspect.

Love of Kill Episode 4 Recap
Love of Kill or Koroshi Ai, as is the show's original Japanese title, is based on a manga of the same name, written and illustrated by Fe. The story follows Chateau Dankworth, a quiet, stoic assassin, tasked with killing Son Ryang-ha - also a notorious killer, legendary for having killed 18 officials in one night. Their first encounter reveals that Song is also after Chateau.
As it turns out, though, he doesn't plan on persecuting her in the way you would expect. Song offers her gifts in the form of targets, and endeavors to get to know her better. In time, the two end up working together - but don't worry, the story is still more about action and mystery, rather than romance as such.
Episode 4 finally provides some insights into Chateau's past. While she spends time by her father's grave, Chateau's mother discusses with one of her daughter's childhood friends, Brian. Song Ryang-ha finds Chateau in the cemetery, but she refuses to spend time with him.
At that point, however, the church is attacked, and Ryang-ha kills two of the men who are after Chateau. Hou holds the church's nun hostage and knocks Chateau unconscious, as Ryang-ha tries to find him.
Meanwhile, Chateau's mother reveals that - as has already been suspected - her daughter is adopted. She was found as a child, next to a dead body with a passport that identified it as the body of Song Ryang-ha. The girl identified herself as Chateau Noble but there was no record of a child with that name.
This suggests that the person who now stalks Chateau is not the real Song Ryang-ha - and he might have ulterior motives in tracking her down. With such a revelation, episode 5 can't come soon enough!
Love of Kill Episode 5 Release Date
Love of Kill Episode 5 is going to air on Thursday, the 10th of February 2022, in Japan. Those in Europe, Canada, and the US will be able to watch it from Wednesday, February 9. Non-subscribed Crunchyroll users will have to wait an extra week, until February 17, and there will be ads.
