Love Death and Robots Season 3 is finally coming back later this month and the new teaser offers a better glimpse at what to look forward to in the Netflix anthology show's third season. In addition to that, the episode count and titles have been revealed and it looks like fans are in for more wild adventures this May!
The Love Death and Robots Season 3 trailer finally features footage from the new volume which will consist of "9 new stories." Interestingly, one of the episodes happens to be an adaptation of an award-winning sci-fi short story back in the 90s.
The new episode titles are as follows:
1. Three Robots: Exit Strategies
2. Bad Travelling
3. The Very Pulse of the Machine
4. Night of the Mini Dead
5. Kill Team Kill
7. Mason's Rats
8. In Vaulted Halls Entombed
The episode Bad Travelling also happens to be acclaimed director David Fincher's animated directorial debut. In the episode, a shark-hunting ship is attacked by a giant crustacean that is just as intelligent as it is hungry. Meanwhile, The Very Pulse of the Machine is based on Michael Swanwick's 1998 short story which won the 1999 Hugo Award for Best Short Story.
Love Death and Robots Season 3 also brings back the team who worked on the first season's Three Robots as they continue to explore a post-apocalyptic Earth. But will K-VRC, XBOT 4000, and 11-45-G also figure out a way to escape the cats who have kept them captive for scritches? We'll find out later this month.
Love, Death and Robots is produced by Tim Miller, Joshua Donen, David Fincher and Jennifer Miller. The anthology series is a reimagining of the 1981 animated science fiction film Heavy Metal and each season consists of standalone episodes that are usually less than 20 minutes long. The first season consist of 18 episodes while Season 2 only had eight episodes.
Love Death and Robots Season 3 will premiere on Netflix on May 20, 2022.
