There is little doubt that Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 had a LOT of huge surprises. However, some of these surprises were subtle enough that most fans didn't realize they were listening to an actor who previously appeared in Loki.
GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 3 SPOILERS AHEAD, PROCEED WITH CAUTION!
In Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, it was revealed that Gamora had joined the Ravagers and had been working closely with Stakar Ogord. The film brought back Sylvester Stallone and Michael Rosenbaum as Stakar and Martinex, respectively.
Interestingly, Michelle Yeoh and Ving Rhames didn't reprise their roles as Aleta Ogord and Charlie-27, respectively. In addition to that, Mainframe was voiced by Tara Strong although the character was originally played by Miley Cyrus.
We don't need to tell you about Tara Strong. After all, the voice actor plays Miss Minutes in Loki. Still, it was a surprisingly subtle recast since Strong still managed to give Mainframe a distinct cheerfulness similar to Cyrus' performance in the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 mid-credits scene.
Tara Strong isn't the only Marvel star who lent her voice in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. It has already been confirmed that Hawkeye star Linda Cardellini plays Rocket's girlfriend Lylla in the sequel. In addition to that, Judy Greer, who plays Scott Lang's ex-wife Maggie in the Ant-Man movies, provided the voice of War Pig, a warrior working for the High Evolutionary.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 brings back Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldaña, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Sean Gunn, Elizabeth Debicki, Maria Bakalova, Michael Rosenbaum, and Sylvester Stallone. Chukwudi Iwuji and Will Poulter join the cast as the High Evolutionary and Adam Warlock, respectively.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is now screening in theaters worldwide.
