The second season of Loki is set to be a pivotal chapter of the MCU's Multiverse Saga since it will double down on the first season finale's impact where the branched timelines were created thanks to Sylvie's killing of He Who Remains.

Since we're still in the very early part of the season, it is still unknown how it will affect the rest of the saga, but there is no doubt that its event could lead to the upcoming multiverse-centric MCU projects.

As it turns out, one of the characters from the series also became the catalyst of the Multiverse Saga in such a way that we may not have realized the first time around.

Speaking with ComicBook.com (via The Direct), Loki executive producer Kevin Wright discussed the ramifications of the series on the rest of the MCU given how its events have unexpected impacts throughout the multiverse.

"As we were developing [Loki], we were kind of like, 'Oh, in a broad sense, it would be really cool if the coming phases also ran through Loki and his choices, but in a different, unexpected way,'" he said.

"It always, I mean those are kind of like broad discussions, but we always are focusing in on just what we're doing and try not to get too bogged down by the bigger picture. If we tell our story really well, the rest of the MCU will embrace it."

When ComicBook.com joked that Loki became the catalyst of Avengers: Secret Wars, Wright chimed in by noting that Sylvie also had responsibility due to her actions that led to the multiverse problem.

He said, "Sylvie has a lot of responsibility in that too, by the way, with what she's done with the Multiverse..."

It is interesting to hear that Sylvie had a bigger impact in the MCU than we may have realized since you won't realize it as you were watching the first season and perhaps this new season will double down on that even further.

It also poses a question on whether she will appear in Avengers: Secret Wars since she was the actual catalyst of the multiverse problem that the heroes will face and perhaps she could be the key to how it could get solved.

Let's wait and see where the rest of the season will go, especially on Sylvie's arc for the new season given her long-lasting impact thanks to her actions in the first season finale.
