Loki really had a great run throughout the films he appeared on in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and he will continue it, this time, in his very own canon series as he has been given yet another chance to prove himself beyond the tricks and scheme he has up on his sleeves in Loki and here is everything you need to know for Episode 1 such as the countdown, cast, trailers, plot, reviews, and the premiere date.


The frost giant adopted by Odin, also known as the God of Mischief, Loki will be paying for his crimes, and this time, against time itself, before the Time Variance Authority, as he messed with it when he unknowingly took the tesseract and escaped with it during the time travel of the Avengers in Endgame to borrow the stone in their effort of blipping everyone snapped by Thanos back to existence.

When is the Premiere Date of Loki? – June 9, 2021

Unlike WandaVision and The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, Loki will be premiering on a Wednesday, on June 9, 2021, at 3 AM EST exclusively on Disney+. It is because Star Wars: The Bad Batch already filled the previous schedule and to satisfy the fans of both shows, they were given their respective days of the week to enjoy.

What is the plot of Loki?

Lokiwill start where he was last seen: escaping with the Tesseract in Endgame. As explained throughout various films in the MCU, time is not to be disturbed with and whenever you borrow something from a certain point of time, you have to return it where it belongs. When Loki escaped, his actions are bound to alter events from then on.


The official synopsis of the Loki is below:

"Picking up immediately after Loki steals the Tesseract (again), he finds himself called before the Time Variance Authority, a bureaucratic organization that exists outside of time and space, forced to answer for his crimes against the timeline and given a choice: face deletion from reality or assist in catching an even greater threat."

Apprehended by the Time Variance Authority, Loki seems to be resisting some jail time, or this jail is just nothing like he has ever been in throughout his existence. In a comedic and action-packed series, Loki will be paying for his crimes by helping the TVA get through the bumps on their very road in exchange for an extreme consequence pressed on Loki.

Who is the cast of Loki?


Tom Hiddleston returns as everyone's favorite villain-turned-hero and he will be joined by Owen Wilson as Mobius M. Mobius, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Sophia Di Martino, Wunmi Mosaku, and Richard E. Grant. It is also rumored that Black Widow will be appearing on the series after eagle-eyed fans saw in the trailers someone that looks like her on a purple-like planet. How many episodes are there for Loki? – Six episodes

There are six episodes ofLoki which will be released weekly spanning from 40 to 50 minutes. It will be following the footsteps of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier with the number of episodes and the length of each, unlike WandaVision which had 9 episodes spanning some 30 to 50 minutes each. It is also rumored that the series will be having multiple seasons, but that is a matter to be confirmed next time.

Where to Watch Loki? – Disney+

Just like the series of Marvel that came before it, Loki will be officially streaming through Disney+ and all the series the comes after it will also be there as well. Loki would be available in the highest streaming quality which is 4K.


Will Loki be on DVD or Blu-Ray? – No news yet.

Again, like that of WandaVision and The Falcon and The Winter Soldier which is yet to have a DVD or Blu-ray release, Loki still has no confirmation yet on the same matter. The series will be pushing through as an exclusive release on Disney+.

What is Loki Rated? – It is rated TV-14.

Loki has been given the rating of TV-14 which means that children below 14 years of age would need to be with their parents and as for the guardians, they are strongly cautioned because the series might have some content which may be inappropriate for those below 14 years old.
