Logan Gets the LEGO Trailer Treatment in Fan Video

If the Logan trailer tugged at your hearts with its more mature look at the aging mutant life, the same impact is not lessened with the LEGO treatment.

In the tradition of fan-made remakes and homage videos, Logan gets its own trailer remade in blocky goodness. The gnarled backdrop song sung by Johnny Cash, the glaring look of Logan even in LEGO form, and the action sequences are animated perfectly. You could even qualify the R-Rating with the violence and pseudo-blood, though I’m pretty sure no LEGO block or piece was harmed in the making of this video.

The fan-made video was created by YouTube user thebrickranger, and it features all of the elements in the original trailer, down to the dialogue.

The trailer is a nice homage to the trailer, which is supposed to set a new tone to how we have seen Logan as portrayed by Hugh Jackman so far. We also see glimpses of the young girl he’s supposed to protect, Laura, his aging due to his regeneration and healing finally succumbing to time, and an older Charles Xavier.

Whether or not this will be Hugh Jackman’s final run as Logan, remains to be seen, especially since Ryan Reynolds seems so keen on having a Deadpool/Wolverine crossover somewhere down the line with the Australian actor specifically in Reynolds’ mind.

Logan will premiere in theaters on March 3, 2017.
