Ghost in the Shell Gets Live Action Gets Art Book


Even if the live-action movie of Ghost in the Shell appears to have some questionable decision in its overall creation and casting, there are some things to rejoice about. Looking over the odd choice of protagonist that has sparked so many debates, the look and feel that the movie gave fans in the preview trailer showed that the cyberpunk world has been recreated in good detail.

Fans can also look forward to an artbook care of David S. Cohen, titled The Art of Ghost in the Shell. iO9 got the exclusive look at the pages of the art book, which gives a glimpse of what moviegoers can see once the movie hits theaters.

The Art of Ghost in the Shell follows the adventure of director Rupert Sanders as he recreates the landscape of the cybernetic city, robotic geishas, bionic pars, and holograms of the future.

We see the chilling depiction of the robot geishas, which we also see in the trailer. The book also takes a look at how the world was built in the process of creating the movie.

The Art of Ghost in the Shell will be released on March 14, 2017. For $45. It's currently available on preorder via Amazon for $41. The movie will be out a few days later on March 29.
