While it took various attempts to make a reboot of Zorro, the actors of The Mask of Zorro and The Legend of Zorro are now getting dibs on who they want to star the title should there be a reboot.

Lisette Olivera stars National Treasure: Edge of History where she got to act with Catherine Zeta-Jones for an episode. Catherine Zeta-Jones played Elena de la Vega in The Mask of Zorro and The Legend of Zorro. With Lisette Olivera, Zeta-Jones revealed that she sees the young actress as the next lady Zorro.

Speaking with ComicBook.com, Zeta-Jones shared, "Lisette, who I'm working with right now on National Treasure, I see a lot of myself in this young lady. I think she has all the elements to be the next Elena de la Vega. I would love to see a lady Zorro."

In another interview with ComicBook.com, Olivera finally opens up about the statement of Zeta-Jones in choosing her as the new Elena de la Vega, "That is a definite yes. How can I prepare myself right now in this moment? It's very sweet of her to say that -- I love her very much."

Over the years, there had been various efforts in bringing Zorro back to the screens with attempts to reboot the iconic title and just last year, it was confirmed that Disney will be having a TV reboot of the title with Wilmer Valderrama as the producer but it has since been quiet regarding the updates.

Other versions of Zorro are in the works like the one that Casa De Papel director helms under Spanish Company Secuoya Studios, and the one under development at The CW. The Zorro series reboot from Secuoya Studios seems to be going forward but the one under The CW remained in limbo for years.

For now, Olivera is excited for the arrival of the National Treasure: Edge of History where she got to work with Zeta-Jones on Disney Plus which happens on December 14, 2022.
