Lee Se Young and Lee Junho had fruitful runs soon after working on The Red Sleeve.
For the first time in their career, Lee Se Young and Lee Junho got the chance to work together in the Korean historical drama. The series, which is based on a novel of the same name, arrived on November 12 before saying goodbye for good on New Year’s Day.
It explores the story of a court lady and the King of Joseon who eventually fell in love with each other. However, the characters hit a glitch as Lee Junho’s King Jeongjo prioritizes his country above love.
But during one filming schedule, Lee Se Young reportedly made Lee Junho’s picture as her wallpaper, and she finally revealed the real reason why she did that.
Lee Se Young Has One Goal After Making Lee Junho’s Picture As Her Wallpaper
During the latest episode of Radio Star, Lee Se Young and five actors from the hit drama series appeared as guests. In one part of the interview, host Kim Gura put the actress in a hot seat and told her she heard that Lee Se Young always did something to immerse herself in acting even more.
“While we were filming ‘The Red Sleeve,’ I made Junho’s face my phone wallpaper,” she said.

That way, she got into character even more and was able to have more feelings in their fictional romance. She also noted that Lee Junho was too embarrassed to take a photo for her wallpaper. So instead, the actress asked him to sign a Polaroid they took at a press conference and used it instead.
The actress, however, clarified that it was not the first time she had done it. According to Lee Se Young, she also set her co-star Yeo Jin Goo’s photo as her phone wallpaper while filming The Crowned Clown.
Lee Se Young’s Tactic Worked!
Though Lee Se Young’s acting truly got improved after making her co-star’s photo as her wallpaper, people also felt that deep relationship that the duo won the Best Couple award at the MBC Drama Awards.
Last year, Lee Se Young and Lee Jun Ho outshined other Korean drama stars when they scored the award at the ceremony. The Red Sleeve, at that time, also won the Drama of the Year Award.
Lee Se Young and Lee Junho both scored the Top Excellence Award, Actress in a Miniseries and Top Excellence Award, Actor in a Miniseries from the same award-giving body.
