Squid Game actor Lee Jung Jae’s fans are getting worried over his current health status.
As one of the most in-demand Korean actors, Lee Jung Jae found it harder to give himself more personal time after he scored the lead role in the Netflix hit series. In fact, the actor’s revelation about his health years ago reemerged and made everyone feel worried about him.

Industry insiders revealed on Wednesday that Lee Jung Jae is yet to receive surgery for his injured shoulder, although it has been nearly three years since his doctor advised him to undergo a procedure.
As quoted by SBS News, the actor sustained the health issue while filming his movie Deliver Us From Evil in 2019. At that time, he ruptured the ligament on his left shoulder but refused to get the surgery and went back to work after resting for three days.
Unfortunately, Lee Jung Jae still was not able to undergo the procedure after the movie’s premiere since he was tapped to shoot Squid Game and Hunt.

He addressed the issue in an interview in 2020, revealing the reason why he chose not to have his shoulder fixed yet.
"If I have surgery, I won't be able to use my left arm for about nine months. A great number of staff and actors/actresses prepared hard for the projects I'm in. I can't postpone their schedule because of my surgery,” he continued.
Things got worse when he pulled his hamstring and received advice to receive surgery — but did not agree, again. At that time, he walked around the set with crutches until the shooting was over.
Lee Jung Jae Gets Candid About Hectic Schedule
Lee Jung Jae might still not be able to find time as he is currently scheduled to start shooting his parts in Squid Game season 2 after the screening and premiere of Hunt.
The actor himself revealed that his current schedule has already affected his physical and overall health.
“After finishing the schedules for ‘Hunt’, I have to digest ‘Squid Game’ schedules. I also have to go to the Toronto Film Festival. After the VIP premiere, I couldn’t even drink a beer. My physical strength has dropped a lot,” he continued.
Lee Jung Jae is also expected to appear in several awards shows, including the Primetime Emmys.
