The honor became the latest feat the girl group scored at the VMA after becoming the first K-pop girl group to win a VMA in 2020. At that time, their hit song How You Like That won Song of the Summer Award.

Aside from performing this year, they also look forward to winning the two nominations it got: Best Metaverse Performance (PUBG) for the whole group and Best K-pop for Lisa’s LALISA.

BLACKPINK Joins Jack Harlow, Lizzo, Maneskin in Latest List

The announcement came after Billboard confirmed the addition of the four artists’ names to the performers’ list.

Lizzo will reportedly perform 2 Be Loved (Am I Ready), the follow-up to her About Damn Time. Meanwhile, Harlow will have his first solo performance at the VMAs this year after his debut performance with Lil Nas X last year.
