Squid Game outshined its competitors in the recently wrapped HCA TV Awards.

According to director Hwang Dong Hyuk, squid Game season 2 is already in its early stages. Although the series waited for over a decade before its premiere, the Korean flick continues to sweep awards shows in the past months since its release.

Squid Game Outplays Other Series

The series was named Best International Series, defeating other flicks like Pachinko, Acapulco, Lupin, Money Heist, and Narcos: Mexico.

After the milestone, the show played a videotaped acceptance speech featuring Squid Game director Hwang Dong Hyuk. He expressed how grateful he is for the honor and revealed the current status of season 2.
