While the debate rages on regarding who the best character in the series is, fans have also voted on their most-disliked Chainsaw Man character. The results have now shown that Himeno and Kobeni are the most disliked Chainsaw Man characters based on a recent poll.
This poll was made on suri-kura and it asked Japanese fans which character they dislike the most in the series.
While Himeno and Kobeni took the top spots, the third most-disliked character in the series is unexpected.
Chainsaw Man's Most Popular Characters
Chainsaw Man is an anime series by MAPPA that’s based on the manga of the same name by Tatsuki Fujimoto.
Thanks to the manga’s popularity, the anime was one of the most anticipated shows of the Fall 2022 season.
Right now, the show continues to be one of the biggest hits of Fall 2022 as it has the biggest member count on MyAnimeList, indicating its massive popularity.
It also continually trends on Twitter every week when a new episode gets released.
Even before the anime was released though, there have been several polls for the manga.
Specifically, there were two official character popularity polls conducted when the manga was still serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump.
In the first poll, it was Power, Makima, and Aki that took the top three spots, but in the second poll, it was Aki that took the top spot, followed by Makima and Power.
It’s interesting to note that the main character, Denji, hasn’t been part of the top 3 in both polls. Though we can say for certain that he’s far from the most disliked character in the series.

In the Most Disliked poll, it seems that many Japanese fans do not like Kobeni, with some saying that they found her annoying. This reflects some of the opinions of international fans on Twitter.
Though after Episode 7, it seems that many international fans had a change of heart when it came to Kobeni because the episode finally showed her in a more normal state.
Originally though, Kobeni was only in the sixth position as it was Himeno and Makima that took the top spots.
But it seems that the latest events have soured Japanese fans’ opinion of her.
Meanwhile, Himeno continues to be a polarizing character. Aside from being disliked by many Japanese fans based on the poll, international fans have also been debating her given how she came on to Denji who is a minor.
Finally, the third most disliked character in the series is creator Tatsuki Fujimoto. This is reminiscent of the official popularity poll where Fujimoto was voted by some fans.
While Fujimoto isn’t exactly a character in the series, what we can say for sure is that you’ll see more of Kobeni and Himeno in the next Chainsaw Man episodes which release every Tuesday.
