King Charles Is Made Aware Of All Of Meghan Markle's Interviews

After her interview aired, royal commentator Duncan Larcombe claimed that King Charles must have heard about Meghan Markle's interview. And even though he doesn't have much time on his hands, the monarch sees to it that he's up to date with everything that his daughter-in-law says.

"[King] Charles' modus operandi has been to pretty much try and ignore any stuff that's written and said about him. But, on Meghan, I would be very, very surprised if he weren't being made aware of every kind of keynote interview and commercial stuff because they have to," he said (via Fox News).

King Charles Doesn't Want Meghan Markle To Keep Bad Mouthing The Firm

Larcombe added that King Charles is very protective of the British monarchy, so he doesn't want Markle to keep saying negative things about The Firm.

"It's the royal family brand. It is a fact Meghan is trading on the brand that King Charles is now very much in charge of. So yes, he will be watching, it will be far more in a business sense. He won't want her to be saying things that could be damaging to the reputations of the royal family and, in particular, things that, in his opinion, are utterly untrue and unfair," he said.

King Charles Won't Tolerate Meghan Markle Cashing In On Her Connections To The Royal Family

At the end of the day, King Charles keeping himself up to date with what Markle says in her interviews isn't surprising. After all, he's just doing what he's supposed to do because the royal family needs to be protected.

"And there is only so much the new king will tolerate of Meghan cashing in. It's good to see perhaps that she's reining back on what was beginning to look like an attack again, another offensive, in the wake of the queen's death," Larcombe said.

The royal commentator also claimed that Markle is pretty much running her own show. And her husband, Prince Harry, has seemingly been reduced to the sidelines. After all, the Duchess of Sussex is the one who keeps making headlines, who has a podcast, and who gets interviewed on a regular basis. Prince Harry, on the other hand, is also linked to the Invictus Games and his upcoming memoir.

"Meghan seems to operate on a slightly different sphere and the way that she positions herself. What we're seeing is Meghan building a brand, very carefully, very precisely, and extremely well. Meghan is doing very, very well. Her podcast is proving to be popular with listeners. And the likes of Variety clearly feel that Meghan sells. And, as long as that continues, then life on planet Meghan is fantastic," he said.
