King Charles III Struggles To Maintain His Balance After Walking For 40 Minutes Straight
A video of King Charles III struggling to keep his balance went viral this week. The clip shows him moving forwards and backwards and struggling to keep himself still while standing in attention behind the queen’s coffin.
Since King Charles III is already in his 70s, some royal fans are convinced he should’ve been exempted from walking behind the queen’s coffin. However, the monarch must have wanted to pay his final respects to his late mother the traditional way.
The death of the queen also means that King Charles III would be taking on his mother’s royal duties and responsibilities. So, it’s not surprising that some people are left wondering if the dad of two is still healthy and fit for the role.

King Charles III Predicted To Have A Decent Reign As Monarch Despite His Age
British scientist Andrew Steele is confident that King Charles III would have a decent reign even though he started at 73 years old. After all, his parents also lived long and full lives at 99 and 96 when they passed away.
“King Charles, whose mother made it to 96 and father died last year at 99, may be looking forward to a decent reign in spite of only having started at 73,” he said (via TODAY).
Is King Charles III Battling Kidney, Liver, Or Heart Disease?
Throughout the years, King Charles III has also been diagnosed with some illnesses. For instance, he tested positive for COVID-19 in 2020, and then he tested positive for the virus again months later.
Royal fans have also been concerned about King Charles III’s swollen hands and feet. On Sept. 9, King Charles III’s swollen hands were once again on display when he met British Prime Minister Liz Truss.
As of writing, the palace has not explained the cause of the swelling, so no one knows for sure if King Charles III is battling an illness. But Dr. Jeffrey Linger said that swelling is typically caused by heart, liver, and kidney problems.
“The feet and ankles are usually affected first and swelling generally has to be pretty advanced to involve the hands. For what it’s worth, I haven’t noticed obvious leg or ankle swelling in recent pictures in which he’s wearing a kilt,” he said.
Still, it is understandable why King Charles III seemingly struggled to maintain his balance after walking 40 minutes straight behind Queen Elizabeth’s coffin. He’s not as young as he once was, and he also walked under the heat of the sun.
