Kim Ki Bum is preparing to grace his fans’ TV screens again.

At a very young age, Kim Ki Bum found his passion in acting, although he was first discovered as a potential idol by SM Entertainment. His journey in the industry started in 2002 when a talent agent recommended him to audition for Starlight Casting System.

While being trained before his debut, he tried his luck as an actor and landed his first role in the 2004 KBS series April Kiss. His projects have continuously arrived since then.

A few years since he last appeared in a flick, Kim Ki Bum announced his return in the acting industry under a new company.

Kim Ki Bum joins the agency, which has been home to several A-lister for years, including Park Si Hwan, former TRAX member Jung Mo, Turbo’s Kim Jung Nam, Emerald Castle, CAN’s Bae Ki Sung, and Novasonic.

It remains unknown what his first project would be under PA Entertainment. But he has since revealed that he would start his promotions with his new company by holding a fan meeting in Korea in March.

Kim Ki Bum’s Departure From Super Junior, SM Entertainment Explained

Kim Ki Bum officially debuted with the then-12-member project group Super Junior 05. But as SM Entertainment changed its plans to recruit new members to adapt to the “generation” type of boy group, they ended up recruiting Kyuhyun and dropping the “05” on its name instead.

Thus, it gave way to the birth of Super Junior.

While promoting with the boy group, Kim Ki Bum appeared in several sitcoms and shows, including Snow Flower, Rainbow Romance, Attack on the Pin-Up Boys, and Deep Rooted Tree, among others. In 2010, he stopped promoting with the Super Junior members to focus on his acting career.

Five years later, he announced his departure from SM Entertainment and continued as an independent artist until his arrival in Clover Company. However, he left his agency four years this year to sign a contract with PA Entertainment.

With the new changes in his career, Kim Ki Bum might offer continuous appearances starting this year.
